Service Description

Discover what it is like to work on a potter's wheel. During this 2 hour workshop, you will get an introduction into the basic techniques of wheel throwing: centering, pulling and shaping clay. The aim of this course is mainly to let you experience the process of throwing and discover if you would like to dive deeper into it. Instructor Lotte will guide you step by step through the process and you will have enough time to experiment and exercise yourself. At the end of the workshop, you choose your favourite creations the session. It will be fired so that you have a tangible and usable memory of this creative experience. /////////////////////// Course details: Date: December 1 Sunday, 14:30-16:30 Duration: 2 hours Sessions: 1 Participants: max. 4, min. 3 Costs: 80€, inclusive 21% BTW, material, glazing, 2x firing and coffee/tea Instructor: Eva Lotte Lisander What you will learn: introduction into basic techniques of throwing What you get: Your favourite creation will be fired and is suitable for use afterwards Tip 1: better not to wear your best clothes as they will get dirty. But do not worry, clay is easily washed out. Tip 2: better cut your fingernails so that you can use your fingertips properly when throwing with soft clay. This course is guided by artist and potter Eva Lotte Lisander, who holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts sculpture and has extensive experience as a potter apprentice and assistant of pottenbakkerij Heksenvuur. Her journey began under the tutelage of skilled potter Heike Rabe, leading to a deep fascination with clay and traditional craftsmanship.
