Service Description

Throughout the course, you'll get familiar with 3 hand-building techniques: pinching, slab building, and coiling. Through these methods, you'll craft a variety of objects. *week 1 : Pinching <small vase/small box> Pinching is pressing a ball of clay with the thumb and shaping the pottery out of clay with the help of the thumbs. We will practice by making several small objects. *week 2 : Slab building <jewellery tray/organizer> Slabs are clay rolled out into flat, even pieces that we can create various structures. We are going to use porcelain to make a pure white object for your small treasures. *week 3 & 4 : Coiling <middle size jug/pot> Coiling is one of the oldest methods to make forms with piles of coils. We will build a middle-size object over 2 sessions.
